| In the early 18th C the house was originally a monastery where a community of nuns where living and taking care of the needs and services of the Bishop of Murlo.
This is the origin of the house name "Poggio alle Monache". Later, farmers of the area took the lease on the land and the house from the town Council and converted the property in a seminative of Olive groves and grain >>> more
